Breckenridge 4th of July Events for 2025
The town of Breckenridge will be ready to party early on July 4th. The town’s favorite kickoff event will take place, the Independence Day 10k at 7 am. This popular race typically sells out early and features a scenic route through Breckenridge. You may want to participate in an alternative morning activity like the 4th of July Strider Bike Race if you have little ones. For ages 1 to 7, kids use balance bikes to compete in a no-pedal race. To participate, you must provide your own bike.
The final bike and racing event will start at 9:30 am. The Firecracker 50 is a 50-mile bike race that begins at Main Street and includes 4,000-foot climbs and daring ascents. Like the other races in Breckenridge, the Firecracker 50 will sell out early.

Mid-Day Adventures
The Independence Day Parade will launch down Main Street as soon as the racers from the Firecracker 50 take off on their off-road adventure. At 10 am, watch patriotic floats, marching bands, and local organizations march through Breckenridge.
After the parade, you could head to BreakCreate at the Art District Campus. The area will have fun activities for the entire family, including lawn games, chalking, a local artist market, and craft vendors. All activities will run from 10 am and 6 pm. There will also be musical performances, a beer garden, and food trucks.

Nighttime Music
To cap off your July 4th, enjoy the musical acts that will take the stage around Breckenridge. At 12:30 pm, the National Repertory Orchestra will perform at Blue River Plaza after the reading of the Declaration of Independence. The Fourth of July Spectacular featuring the National Repertory Orchestra will later perform at 6 pm at the Riverwalk Center. The ticketed event will feature patriotic instrumental pieces.

Final Reminders
This is a reminder that July 4th fireworks are not done in Breckenridge. Due to the dry conditions, wildfire risk is too high. Also, the town asks that pets stay home during the celebration. The downtown area will be very busy and not ideal for furry friends. The Main Street area downtown will remain closed from 6 am to 6 pm to accommodate all of the July 4th events.
