1. Go skiing or snowboarding in the mountains

Breckenridge is known for being a mountain ski town for good reason. There are at least nine ski resorts near or within Breckenridge limits, and you can find dozens of impressive slopes and ski areas. The crown jewel of Summit County for skiing is the Breckenridge Ski Resort, which has nearly 3,000 skiable acres and a 13,000-foot summit point to enjoy.

2. Tour the local breweries for the best craft beer

3. Hit the ice for some skating and fun

Summit County is home to a year-round ice facility: the Stephen C. West Ice Arena. This facility has both an indoor and outdoor ice arena. The indoor arena is NHL-regulation size and frequently hosts local hockey games. The outdoor ice arena is open between October and March, and even though the arena is outdoors, it is covered overhead, so you can skate out of the weather. The facility offers rentals for everything from ice skates to hockey equipment and even hosts ice shows a few times a year.

4. Treat yourself to a spa experience

After a long day on the slopes or when you just need a little R&R, Breckenridge is definitely the place to be. There are a handful of amazing spas in the area where you can get everything from a hot stone massage to an invigorating mud bath.
