Shop our recreational dispensary all summer long to get unbeatable prices on concentrates, flower, edibles, pre-rolls, vapes, and more.
The Basics of Dabbing
If you’re new to dabbing, then we’re here to help. In the simplest of terms, dabbing refers to a popular method used to consume weed concentrates. With a dab rig, you heat the concentrate in a banger and breathe in the vapor through the water pipe. For traditional dab rigs, you use a torch to heat the quartz banger before allowing it to cool. Once cooled, you place a dab of concentrate and breathe in the vapor. Electronic dab rigs don’t require a torch. Instead, they are battery-powered and will heat to your preferred temperature. Lower temperatures tend to provide smoother hits, while higher temperatures have more intensity.
What is 710?
Dab Day is frequently called 710 or 7-10 Day. The July 10th date was chosen because 710 reads “oil” when flipped upside down. Rapper Taskrok is credited with creating the holiday online to add more cannabis celebrations. He released rap songs like “7:10” and “Boil That Oil” to let others know about Dab Daby. The holiday was profiled in “LA Weekly” in 2013, and sales started taking place in nationwide dispensaries. Today, special events and 710 weed deals often pop up around July 10th.
Concentrate Types
Our Colorado dispensary likes to offer a variety of concentrates to customers. Each type goes through a specialized manufacturing process and will have pros and cons. Types you’ll likely find at our dispensary include:
- Badders: A badder can also be known as batter or butter. For this type of concentrate, a solvent, such as butane or propane, is used during extraction. The mixture is then whipped to a creamy and malleable consistency.
- Crushed diamonds: Crushed diamond extracts come from THCA diamonds that have been broken down into smaller pieces. The extracts often have a lot of flavor and potency of 80% THC.
- Live rosins: These concentrates come from fresh flower that are flash-frozen to lock in flavors and terpenes. Live resins don’t use solvents to separate the cannabinoids.
- Bubble hash: Bubble hash doesn’t use solvents, and the trichomes are separated from the plant through an ice water and agitation process. Lighter-colored bubble hash has a higher purity than darker-tan versions.
- Sauces: Sauces can be solvent- or solventless formulations. They have a thick, syrupy consistency and can be combined with THCA for increased potency.
