If you’ve never experienced the magic and small-town feel of Colorado’s picturesque Rocky Mountain town, Breckenridge Oktoberfest 2024 is the perfect opportunity. So pull out your dirndls and lederhosen and get ready for an unforgettable experience at Colorado’s largest yearly event.
What Is Breckenridge Oktoberfest and When Is It?
Oktoberfest is an annual event, first celebrated October 12, 1810, in Munich, Germany, to honor the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria. Since then, it has blossomed into a widely celebrated event, synonymous with great beer, fabulous food, live music, and endless fun around the world. Now in its 28th year, the 2024 Breckenridge Oktoberfest is three days full of treasured Oktoberfest traditions, including the official Tapping of the Keg ceremony, excellent local beer, wine, and cider, German food, and live music.
This year’s free event, presented by Breckenridge Brewery, starts Friday, Sept. 13 and runs through to Sunday, Sept. 15. You can pre-order a 2024 Oktoberfest commemorative stein for $40 that comes with one free beer or wine, and pick it up when you arrive. But don’t wait too long, they go fast!

Breckenridge Oktoberfest is a free family-friendly event that kicks off at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. Throughout the three days, there will be a variety of entertainment.
